Forestry CDE
To stimulate student interest in forestry, to promote forestry instruction in the agricultural education curriculum, and to provide recognition for those who have demonstrated skill and competency as a result of forestry instruction. The contest consists of a written test, dendrology, equipment identification, forest disorders, compass & pacing, and timber cruising.

Dairy Judging
To provide a competitive event for agricultural education students, emphasizing skills in dairy cattle evaluation, selection and dairy herd management.
The preliminary contest will be held on the Fall CDE Preliminary Testing Day. The testing day is Tuesday, November 18th. The top 20 teams from the preliminary event will advance to the state finals . The preliminary contest will consist of the following:
1. Two pedigree classes
2. A multiple choice management exam of 25 questions
3. A 25 question multiple choice exam on the PDCA score card
